Carol Sweet

Carol Sweet has more than 30 years of experience in environmental and engineering geology. Carol's experience includes geotechnical investigations for design of power plants, dams, tunnels, treatment plants, and landfills. She conducted contamination assessments for industrial clients, National Priority sites, and military facilities. As Program Manager for the Hazardous Waste Remedial Actions Program contract, she prepared work plans and managed Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and Comprehensive Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) investigations for various government agencies. In this capacity, Carol prepared cost estimates, negotiated contracts, managed budgets and schedules, and worked with government personnel.

Carol has lived and worked in southern Nevada for approximately 13 years and has become familiar with the unique issues and regulations in this area. She has worked on mineral potential reports and mining claim research at the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), engineering and environmental studies in Las Vegas, land management and RCRA facilities at Nellis Air Force Base, pipeline construction for the Southern Nevada Water Authority (SNWA) and Clean Water Coalition, and projects in Pahrump.

Working for nationally based consulting firms, Carol has served as project geologist, project scientist, project manager, department manager, and associate. As a senior environmental scientist, she has conducted Phase I, II, and III environmental site assessments, quarterly groundwater monitoring, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) environmental assessments, and RCRA Closures.
