Goodsprings Trails Study

Clark County, Nevada

BEC was subcontracted by Shapins Belt Collins to provide environmental services in support of a Trails Study for Clark County, Nevada. The study will evaluate trail feasibility by identifying preferred trail corridors, obtaining input from potential trail users, and projecting costs for a trail system located between Jean and Goodsprings.

BEC activities for the project include conducting a review of environmental constraints, natural resources information, and historical and cultural information for the proposed trail, as well as assisting in the review of ownership and Right-of-Way information for the area. Environmental considerations evaluated in the study include threatened and endangered species, cacti and yucca, drainage areas, and sensitive plant and animal species. BEC will provide a summary of environmental issues and constraints and prepare the environmental section of the Trail Plan.
