Eileen Christensen
Eileen Christensen is the President and Principal Scientist for BEC. She has more than sixteen years of practical experience in environmental, health, and safety consulting. During that time she has been responsible for a variety of environmental projects for local, federal, and foreign governments, and private industry. Eileen is a tactful negotiator, skilled presenter, and gifted writer. She has a solid background in bringing antagonistic parties together to resolve seemingly intractable situations. Eileen has trained more than 1,000 military personnel, municipal employees, and private individuals in a variety of environmental and health safety topics, and has presented papers at National and International conferences. Finally, she has a reputation for exceptional writing skills and her talents are exemplified in the technical reports, outreach materials, professional papers, and training manuals she has prepared over the course of her career. Eileen's responsibilities for BEC include oversight of BEC's technical projects and programs, and supervision of BEC and sub-contracted professionals. She provides Brownfields Program management and consultation; conducts site characterization and remediation activities for contaminated sites; conducts environmental assessments; performs compliance audits related to hazardous materials management issues; provides hazardous materials management and general health and safety training; and prepares general and site specific health and safety plans and programs. Her experience includes: EPA and OSHA compliance audits, Phase I and Phase II Environmental Assessments; contamination assessments; remedial action projects; State and Federal environmental permitting; hazardous materials incident emergency response; and hazardous materials management, training, and training program development. |
