Kathleen M. Johnson
Kathleen Johnson has over seven years of experience spanning both environmental and flood control Engineering. Kathleen's experience includes hazardous waste site characterization studies, risk analyses, and evaluations of sediment, soil, and groundwater remediation technologies, quantifying watershed hydrology, completing flood hazard analyses, designing runoff mitigation facilities, and authoring drainage studies in southern Nevada. As an environmental engineer, Kathleen has completed characterization studies for sites contaminated with hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents and heavy metals in California, New York, Texas, and Utah. Kathleen has developed investigation plans, organized field activities, and prepared closure plans using a risk-based closure strategy for sites used to support underground nuclear testing at the Nevada Test Site. She has developed site characterization and remediation plans for contaminant releases at military installations in Texas and a Superfund site in New York. As a flood control engineer in southern Nevada, Kathleen has completed flood hazard analyses, designed and completed modeling of flood control options for parks and community facilities, and submitted technical drainage studies for appropriate flood control measures to local, regional, and federal agencies.
