Amargosa Valley Swimming Pool Feasibility Study

Nye County, Nevada

BEC was contracted by Nye County, Nevada to prepare a feasibility study for a community swimming pool in the Town of Amargosa Valley, Nevada.  BEC developed the study based on feedback obtained from survey data, input from local businesses, research data from the Bureau of Land Management and the Nevada Division of Water Resources, and interviews with representatives from other rural communities with facilities similar to that proposed for Amargosa Valley.

Three potential sites were identified by the Town and were evaluated by BEC to determine their suitability for the proposed project.  Additionally, BEC performed community outreach activities to update the Town of Amargosa Valley on the progress and findings of the feasibility study.

BEC prepared and submitted the final report of their findings to Nye County, in accordance with the requirements of the County's Community Development Block Grant.
