Amargosa Valley, Nevada

BEC was contracted by a private developer to provide environmental services in support of a right-of-way grant application for an access road within the Ash Meadows Area of Critical Environmental Concern in Amargosa Valley, Nevada.

BEC performed plant surveys, desert tortoise surveys, a noxious weed assessment and identified potential impacts and alternatives for the access road improvement. BEC developed the Environmental Assessment based on these surveys and worked closely with BLM staff to ensure the Assessment complied with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) regulations and addressed all concerns raised by BLM staff. BEC also assisted the BLM in the development of the Record of Decision and Finding of No Significant Impact reports.
