Environmental Oversight and Review Environmental oversight and review is intended to help public and private individuals and organizations achieve compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. Often, a developer or local government may not be aware of the variety of federal, state and local regulations governing development in a community. Despite taking precautions, accidents inevitably occur. Environmental oversight and review also addresses the consequences of these accidents and works to ensure that future occurrences are avoided wherever possible. BEC coordinates with government agencies on the local, state and federal levels on behalf of our clients to ensure that any potential environmental concerns are addressed and mitigated before they result in regulatory violations and penalties. In the event that an incident causing an environmental concern does occur, BEC works with the affected stakeholders to meet regulatory reporting and remediation requirements in a safe and effective manner. BEC continues to work with the affected stakeholders after the regulatory requirements have been met to identify and implement measures to minimize the chances for recurrence.
