Public Safety and Health consulting encompasses multiple areas, including: fire, emergency medical services, law enforcement, hazardous materials response, emergency planning, and emergency management. Each of these areas can be viewed and treated as a complete, independent system. However, doing so frequently leads to interagency conflicts due to overlapping responsibilities and functions. BEC's approach views each agency and function as part of a larger, interactive system, and builds upon the strengths of each to form a complete, interlocking whole. Interoperability and integrated communications are imperative to achieving a fully functioning system, and BEC works proactively with federal, state and local agencies to identify and maximize these opportunities. Interagency coordination and cooperation allows each agency to more effectively allocate and utilize all its resources and abilities, providing the best possible Public Safety and Health services.
