Rachel D. Kryder
Rachel Kryder is a Civil Engineer with six years of experience in engineering design for land development. Her work has included permitting water rights, source water protection programs, utility feasibility studies, network hydraulic analysis, and drainage analysis and modeling. Her experience also includes technical research, data analysis, report writing, project management, and coordinating with local and state governments. Rachel has built strong working relationships with Nye County Planning, Nye County Public Works, the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) Bureau of Water Pollution Control, Nevada Division of Water Resources (DWR), Nevada Department of Transportation, local utilities, and local contractors. Drawing on her knowledge of Nevada Water Rights policies and procedures, she has filed numerous water rights applications on behalf of clients. As a project manager, Rachel has overseen projects and acted as the primary client contact for both technical and procedural aspects of site development and associated design, flood plain, drainage modeling, and hydraulic analysis projects. Rachel maintains management and oversight of BEC’s Wellhead Protection contract with NDEP, assisting communities in the development of source water protection programs. Her responsibilities at BEC also include technical research, grant research, document development, coordination with state and local agencies, and public outreach facilitation.
